What does a typical day at K9 Heaven look like?
A day at K9 Heaven is filled with fun, exploration, and care. Dogs can arrive anytime between 7-10 am, with door-to-door pick-up services also available. Once they’re settled, we’ll introduce them to their pack and get them ready for their first adventure.To ensure their safety and comfort, we choose packs based on the size and temperament of your dog.
After they’ve explored our farm, they will be taken inside for a nutritious meal. They will then return to the yard where they can enjoy a range of enrichment activities. If they still have the energy, they will be taken on one final adventure before having a bath to get them cleaned up for home time. By the end of the day, your dog will be happily tired and ready to go home.
How are dogs grouped during the day?
We carefully group dogs based on size, temperament, and recall ability. This ensures every pup feels comfortable and safe while playing or relaxing. Smaller or shy dogs have their own dedicated spaces to explore, while more adventurous pups and those who do not yet respond to recall are grouped for outdoor fun on the farm.
How often do they go outside?
At K9 Heaven, we know how important adventure and exercise are. During the day, your dog will have access to one of our spacious and secure yards. They will also enjoy a minimum of one farm adventure a day.
With dense forests, open fields, ponds for splashing, and even a mud pool, our 10-acre farm is a dog’s dream come true. The first farm adventure will occur in the morning, with a second one offered to energetic dogs in the afternoon. Smaller dogs and dogs who do not respond to recall will have access to a separate one-acre farm instead. Outdoor activities are always supervised, and groups are kept small to ensure a safe and fun experience.
Will my dog get a bath?
Yes! After their outdoor adventures, we give each dog a bath to clean off any dirt and help them cool down. This is included in the daycare service, so your pup will return home fresh and clean.
What if my dog needs a break from playtime?
We understand that every dog is different and if you’re sending your dog to daycare it’s important that their needs are met. Our daycare offers plenty of space to rest, with warm indoor spaces with plenty of blankets and beds where they can take a nap. Our team is attuned to your dog’s needs, balancing activities and downtime throughout the day.
Can I trust the team to monitor my dog’s health?
Absolutely. Your dog’s safety is our priority. All of our staff are trained in dog first aid and perform physical checks on every dog after outdoor activities.
What enrichment activities do you offer?
Beyond playtime, we provide a variety of enrichment activities, including toys, puzzles, and group games, to boost your dog’s physical and mental health. Socialisation with new and familiar friends is also a big part of the day!
What time can I pick up my dog?
Pick-up is available between 3 pm and 6 pm. By then, your dog will be tired, happy, and ready for cuddles.
